Introducing the Albert Thermal Bootie. These unisex design booties are amongst the warmest available, with their combination of 3mm neoprene and Titanium reflective thermal layer. Great for those who suffer from perpetual year-round cold feet or enjoy swimming through winter and the colder shoulder portions of Autumn and Spring. Usable in any waters - fresh or salt water.

With their innovative user-friendly design features plus their Titanium-Alpha lining to reflect the body's heat, they really are easy to use and keep your tootsie’s toasty.

Design Features

• The Zip Entry / Exit.

One of the main features of The Alberts, realised from using other brands' swim socks, was the huge inability to get them off easily — especially post swim with cold hands and the dreaded claw finger. This has been rectified, fairly obviously really, with the inclusion of a small YKK zipper, positioned from just above the achilles area to the top of the bootie. Form and shape is retained around the heel. Consequently, it’s now easy to get these previously difficult to remove items of apparel off!

• Split Toe.

The Japanese split toe design provides a couple of useful features. One - the ability to use your jandels / thongs / flip flops to walk to the waters edge. Two - having this shape and form around the toes helps keep the stiffness around the toe area preventing the end of the bootie flopping about like a wet kipper like other types, which do not use the split toe design.

• Thermal Titanium-Alpha foil

The Titanium-Alpha foil reflects 35% - 40% of generated body heat, preventing this heat being dissipated and lost to the surrounding waters

• Bootie Height.

The top of the Albert Bootie is high at 200mm in size Medium, measured from the ankle. The top is secured with a Velcro strap to help keep the Albert up, plus this height provides the option of allowing the bottom of the wetsuit legs to sit over the top of the bootie. Or vice-versa as you prefer.

Fitting Notes

Unisex Fit

Neoprene stretches. The Split Toe design helps to hold the bootie form well, when actually swimming, but it's better to size down rather than size up. For instance a person who normally wears bang on a EU43, would be better in a 'Medium', rather than a 'Large'. An exact EU40 foot, would be better in a 'Small' rather than a 'Medium'.
